1) Why Brazil?
Brazil ranks the second Country in the world in terms of numbers of carried out cosmetic surgery. It is such an important title that our Brazilian doctors are invited to attend conferences in Europe and USA while doctors from all over the world apply for training in Brazil .
2) Why is it more affordable?
The rate of exchange against foreign country, such as Sterling for example, varies from 3.50 to 4.50 $Reais (Brazilian currency) to the Pound(at the time of the publication January/06). The modest purchasing power in Brazil does not compare with Europe or USA . The combination of both make Brazil a very attractive destination.
3) Does it represent a problem if I don't see the surgeon before I travel?
No. It is important though that you send us a photograph of the area where you want the surgery done.
It is also required that you fill up the questionnaire and add any other question that concerns you.
Please note that once in Brazil you will go through a few health checks before surgery.
4) Do I need to speak the language?
Not necessarily. Our friendly bilingual speaking representative will be available from the time of your arrival at the airport to your arrival at the hotel and to the Clinic or the hospital.
5) Is it a safe destination?
You will see for yourself that the Clinics and the accommodations are in excellent location. As for any destination travel insurance is always recommended.
6) Is it a good idea to bring a companion?
You are very welcome to. Please let us now in advance and the accommodation will be provided accordingly.
7) At what age do individuals have a surgery?
Most clients resort to plastic surgery usually in the early 40's. Liposuction, eyelids and face lift are the most popular. Younger patients have their particular preferences for nose surgery and breast augmentation.
8) Is breast surgery safe?
According to official studies, it has been reported that there is no evidence that silicone breast implants present a risk of cancer or that it can not be detected at an earlier stage. It is suggested though, that at mammography test you make your technician aware you have had an implant done and he/she will repeat the test for your piece of mind.
9) Is plastic surgery safe?
As in any operation, there is a risk of complication during or after the operation. If that concerns you, our experienced doctors will advise you if the chosen procedure is the right one for you.
10) Are the physicians well qualified and with enough experience to perform plastic surgery?
All our doctors are member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and each one of them are members of at least one international plastic surgery societies, such as the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
11) Can I opt for a combination of procedures?
It is possible. By discussing with your doctor you will be advised what are the combination options available for you. The advantages are that you will save hospital and accommodation fees, travelling expenses and recovery time. You have to be aware though that the risk of complication when having multiple procedures is greater. You will have to bear in mind that you will probably need extra recovery time as well as be financially prepared if some complication occurs.
