Your surgeon will discuss with you what are the available options regarding the location of the incision, where to place the implant (above or under the muscle) and also the new size of your breast.

Breast augmentation involves an incision, more commonly in the crease under the breast, but also under the areola on in the armpit. The implant is placed behind the mammary gland, more precisely either behind or in the front of the pectoral muscle.

Depending on your body structure you will be advised by the surgeon which of the three incisions is better for you as well as the implant.

This procedure is performed under general anaesthetic what means that you will sleep through the operation. Local anaesthesia, combined with a sedative can also be used. This way you will be awake during the surgery and may feel some discomfort at times.

The duration of this surgery is about two hours and you stay in the clinic up to 24 hours.

You should be able to return to work within 10 days.
